Kevian Kraemer Phoenix Concert reviews
Marcus King Band at the Ritz, Raleigh, NC
The band, amazing as far as it goes, consisted of a really talented group of musicians in this genre. The venue, however, I think was oversold. In my opinion, the crowd was beyond capacity. There were so many people that there was barely standing room or even room to maneuver to bars, restrooms, and, more importantly, the exits. People would've likely been injured (or worse) had there been an emergency need to exit. We inquired about an upgrade to a seat upstairs; however, the price was outrageous -- $250/seat i.e. $500 for 2 seats for my companion and myself. Seriously....who would pay that?! I noticed during the course of the evening that those seats were left unsold. A more reasonable cost for the seat versus no revenue at all doesn't make good business sense to me. Nonetheless, due to the seemingly 'over capacity' crowd, we only stayed an hour for what I presume was a 2-hr show (Kevian Kraemer started around 10pm). In summary, the band was great, but the guest experience was terrible."
